I would use a separate phono stage (check out the new mini phono http://www.divertech.com/aslminiphono.htm ) and ASL's TI Passive autoformer line stage ($400). This is an amazing little unit, and matches very well with the Tulip. Once you've tried an autoformer/transformer volume control you'll never want to go back to a resistive one. It will be worth the extra set of interconnects.
