I've just gotten through the two live disks. I like the music and sound. I'm wondering what compression techniques they used. I got a couple of recent Grateful Dead live CDs and notice a similar sound. They sound compressed but not in a bad way. Lot's of detail no distortion they don't sound overdriven like some loudness war CDs.

What's your thought on this.
