I'm a fan of everything related to that skit, but I have experienced a real downside to it. The last BOC show I went to was part of an outdoor music festival and there were dozens of people randomly banging away on small cowbells that some enterprising person was selling outside of the grounds. It of course intensified during'Reaper', which made a potential highlight into an awful cacophony.
