Rocky Road: David Gilmour Brighton England Live by bonnietiler

Oh, just a short review for those who might be going to catch the old master in live action?
I travelled the 250miles to sunny Brighton on the South Coast of England in order to watch a "preview" show for the upcoming tour...He's doing 5 (Sold Out)consecutive nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I sat expectant with 4500 others and it truly was a WOW moment, I realise that I'm saying the impossible but in truth and I've seen Pink Floyd on many occasions this band is ...er...better? Tish Pooh I hear you say..but its actually true...Gilmour is as ever superb, but he also has Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) another genius with him so we have TWO A1 Guitarists on show TWO keyboard players backing singers saxophonists + a 100% Rock Drummer, they just sound more powerful to be honest. the set was sublime the lighting magnificent the sound superb Gilmour played 2.5 hours if his voice went he had at least 4 others to help him out. If you get the chance just take it you really wont regret it. It was so good that had my dear old Missus not been having Chemotherapy today we would have loaded the old Triumph TR8 up and crossed Europe for the Croatian gig at PULA the thought of him performing at the most intact Roman Amphitheatre around would have been too much temptation for us.
