re: carpet, you probably don't recall earlier discussions we had on this, but I re-designed the floor by putting a 1" layer of 703 on the subfloor, then adding 1/2" ply over that and then the carpet. It significantly reduced the "bass boom". What do you think? I will continue to add absorbers, especially the back and side walls.
