streamers wont work for me. I am not using a usb dac. and sure I could get one to work through spdif, but all my DANTE gear would not work with a streamer. Well they say they support linux so perhaps its not impossible.

The disconnect is that some of us care about that last few % of improvement and being optimum is better than working fine....though I am not getting a laptop.
