There are many reasons for selecting a streaming service. If one is interested in current, mostly small label jazz, Tidal is the only choice. If you are interested in European jazz, Qobuz is the only choice. I don't know enough about other genres to have an opinion.

Quite by accident I have been using a Brooklyn DAC about as long as there has been MQA. I Leave the MQA decoder on. I occasionally think a track sounds especially good. Sometimes it is MQA, sometimes it seems to be just well recorded.

I tried to check out this guy's argument that MQA somehow causes anal warts, but if it is that hard to find out what you hear sounds good, you might just listen.

If this is the only hot topic the audiophile community has managed to gin up in 4 or 5 years, it is truly finished. Perhaps we can revive the digital vs vinyl debate. I still see articles in the popular press that vinyl is making a come back.
