Ok, put a 12V linear supply on my external eSATA drive and the glare problem went away, problem solved but the overall SQ has changed. Micro detail and imaging are the same as when the drive was mounted internally but the overall presentation is now a bit laid back and does no “pop” as much, may be explained as a loss of dynamics but maybe, the linear supply has put things in their prober prospective, hard to say, both ways sound good, different flavors. What can be said is that PC power quality is very important in achieving good SQ
