Go to www.kennyrankin.com Kenny was diagnosed recently with stage 4 lung cancer. It was a matter of wks before receiving that news that he passed yesterday.

Yesterday morning I played his dvd,, followed by several of his CD's.. Last night my girlfriend called (a new Kenny fan) to tell me she had just listened to "At Last" then launched into the great w/e we'd had.. Later in the evening I happened on his sight and learned the news on the "forum".... I then relistened to his work until 1am,, very disturbed and shocked by the sad news..
I had the opportunity to see Kenny Rankin at the Irridium in NYC a couple of years ago.. Had been a fan for decades... It was a thrill of a lifetime... He will be remembered for this wonderful voice and melody,, his guitar work and gentle spirit... He found himself later in life, I was fortunate to find him early in mine.. Jack
