Well, I went from an MMG to a 1.7, making no other changes, and can say the change was tremendous; there's more of everything, especially bottom end. Presence, soundstaging and even clarity are all significantly improved as well. Best upgrade I've ever made; I loved my MMGs, but this is another level entirely. Good luck with yours.
