I do miss basements ... kind of.
They're great for storing stuff and workshops, and shelter during tornado season, but ground water seepage, sewer backups, and mold - I don't miss those.
Where I grew up, and wife too, every home had a basement, but they are rarer than hens teeth in Texas.
