I agree, it's a giant deal for any platforms that use targeted advertisements. It's also an open secret that 25%+ of accounts are bots, this is something Elon, his lawyers knew going in. Even 70% of his followers are bots, and he paid for most of them to amplify his voice.
Him pearl clutching, and pointing to 5% is his way to trigger one of those clauses to save him $1b since he's appeared to cool on the deal.
OR
He thinks he can damage the company to the point he might be able to redo the deal to pick it up for penies on the dollar. Though that would be hard to do at this point wihtout winding up in jail with the SEC.
