I live in a 10 house circle. Everyone knows everyone. We used to have block parties every year, but that stopped. We still have New Years Eve at one neighbor's and Halloween at another. Even people who have moved away come back.

I have a satsuma tree and hand out bags of satsumas this time of year to 12 of our neighbors. Two other neighbor's give out grapefruit and oranges. We walk our dogs and socialize with the other dog people.

This is the south. People are friendly. BH is in NY.
