An affordable 7mH air core coil is only 18 gauge, giving a 1.6 ohm DCR. That's totally unsuited for a crossover. A 15 gauge 7mH air core coil has 1 ohm DCR, which is marginal with an 8 ohm load, way too high with a 4 ohm load, and it costs twice what the OP's coil, with 0.29 ohms DCR, does,
