Lowthers with subwoofer(s)?

Hello,
I have just very recently discovered what kind of magic high efficiency speakers and SET amps can deliver. The clarity and realism is certainly there, and what is 'there' is beautiful. Listening to this kind of system in demo or friends room everything comes together nicely and the music just blends really really well..

Unfortunately, in my room the deep bass is missing. I have tried moving the Lowther in Ambience box all over the room; moving it closer to corners ,away from corners, into the room etc, but the result is not giving me the 'being there' feeling. The bass would either be overwhelming or non existent.

Giving up on the 'single driver' theory and adding a HT subwoofer to the system surprisingly gave me a much better result. Therefore, I have decided to add subwoofer(s) to my system to enhance my Lowthers. After researching the many options of subwoofers which would match my Ambience box or Oris horn, I gave up. I think I have overloaded myself with information, and yet I am still confused about which subwoofer would be best for my setup.

I am not a DIY kind of person who could build special enclosure for bass horns, but I like to fiddle a bit with what is commonly available or what I already have. Would a simple decent subwoofer(s) be enough? What special specs does it need to have to blend well with the Lowhters?

Cheers,
Adjieda
