The one Audeze I owned, the original LCD-2 was very heavy, had great sub-bass, tho', but too rolled on top for these Grado ears.
Don't know about the problem of head movement muffling the sound. The Mr. Speakers Ether (open ones) did not do that as I recall so it may not be the planar technology.
