I was not going to reply but your response was very gracious.
I just hate becoming that with which I loathe in others.
I have reflected on this some and this is the only area of my life (some audio forums, Facebook political posts, watching CNN and/or Fox News) where I am getting hot-headed.
In real-life day-to-day interactions, I am amiable and easy-going with family, friends, students, and colleagues. So I am trying the process of elimination.
And today I looked into some counselling and tomorrow will talk some things over with the school counsellor. I have some personal issues with a close colleague's passing and my best friend since grade 6 has an illness where the doctors have advised him to look into alternative medicine (not good). How much this is affecting me I can't say - but it's not really an excuse to be a dick to people. I suppose the internet is a faceless blob like some kind of punching bag.
