99.9% of time it's indeed "objectivist"/"frugal"/hard of hearing idiots stirring the s...tpot. Reading some of the responses here, in this thread, it's quite clear why rules in that forum must remain what they currently are.
As for the thread in question, Duster's reaction seems over the top - and I don't see what the big deal is. One Chinese manufacturer of questionable quality goods badmouthing another, and someone posting about it, doesn't seems to be worth much of a reaction to me.
It's like being ticked off by a Chevy commercial, in which they convincingly explain to you why their unreliable piece of crap car is superior in every way to a Toyota - all in under a minute and half.
