Whether you liked his speakers, preferred another style, or type should not matter today.

David Wilson is one of a small number of innovators who opened the door for many speaker designers. Before Wilson, I believe many designers thought that if they designed the best speaker they could imagine, there would be very few who would pay over $10,000 for a pair. And while I think it is a small market percentage wise, the tech that has trickled down has benefitted everyone.
David didn't think mdf was stiff enough, he developed his own materials.

While I very much doubt that I will ever own a pair of his speakers, even if I could afford them, I still admire the man. He maintained very high standards for his dealers, he was a class act.
