I have been goofing around with audio gear for years and I am still learning and will continue to learn for probably the rest of my life. I am cheap and I am willing to try things and this has made my audio setup that I have not a lot of money, but a lot of time into sounding probably a lot better than it should. I am a firm believer in keeping things simple, but there is some tweaking things that have helped out to reduce vibrations and also AC power tweaks that have helped a ton with sound. Take an hour and look at the tweakers part of this website and you will learn things that are low cost, but will help a ton. The first thing that I would do is take an evening and build a TNT Flexy stand. Then buy some of these anti vibration pads that I link to. I also would buy a copy machine power conditioner search on ebay for "Digital QC" and you will find one. I would look for one of the 4 outlet versions. This all should cost you less than $150 and will make a world of difference in sound. Everyone discounts clean signals and or vibration, but in essence all an audio system is doing is moving air and the more precise you can move the air via clean signal and less vibration the better off you will be.
