Hi,
I'm old enough to remember the days before the internet.I was a subscriber to Stereophile and always loved seeing a new issue. But, if you liked Hifi you might also subscribe to Speaker Builder, AudioXpress, Vacuum Tube Valley ect.
A lot of these audio mags are gone, the hard copies you like seeing in the mail box instead of bills.
The latest issue was a really nice tribute to Art Dudley. He seemed to cover more of the stuff that these mags that disappeared covered over his time with Stereophile. He was a DIY guy.
In my opinion I think that's where the direction should follow for Stereophile. The subscription rate might swell as more Hifi nuts with lighter pockets might fill in the gaps. The last few issues reminded me of Absolute Sound. Art to me made Stereophile unlike Absolute Sound, he made it way better.......sincerely. Mark Korda
