Bravo bjh.

So bizarre that in an era of high speed internet capable of 4K/multichannel video streaming, terabytes of cheap storage, excellent DACs capable of 384/768kHz samplerate, jitter-free interfaces capable of high speeds easily handled by hi-res stereo... that we even need to argue about this.

Why bother as consumers even entertaining this?! Moreover, why did audiophile magazines *ever* think this was conceivably a decent idea.

From the start, if the audiophile magazine writers basically said "meh, we've already heard high-res and FLAC is good", I think they would have represented the interests of audiophiles seeking the best sound. And so many key strokes would have been saved...
