That's correct - these performances were recorded, in concert, before he was named as principal (possibly just regular NY Phil broadcasts where he was appearing as a guest and which Decca got the rights to? - I don't know). In any case, I suspect that this is Decca cashing in on the publicity of his new appointment.

"NYPO Neilson Syms and Concerti got good reviews a while back, I guess with the previous Conductor."

Haven't heard these (not really a fan of Nielsen), so I can't comment.

"Did they change Labels?"
