The harpsichord can often sound "jangly" and I guess it is because of the massive harmonics not being well reproduced.

And another trap with harpsichord recordings is playing them too loud. The few harpsichords I've heard at recitals are not loud at all.

That said, a whole CD of harpsichord music can be very monotonous. I find it best to have the server playing baroque music on random so the harpsichord music is mixed up with other baroque music, much of which is also monotonous on a complete CD. I learned some years ago that giving each CD an appropriate tag makes music listening on quite a few genre much more entertaining.
