Yamaha seems to have a near monopoly on decent sounding uprights. This piano looks like a new Yamaha, maybe a YUS-1. The model number has tape over it, so I'm guessing that Lord Vinheteiro has a piano intended for the Japanese market only. Their best piano from the 1980's was the U3X and could only be bought on the "grey market" in the U.S. It sounded a lot better than their best piano sold in the U.S. at the time--the U3.

The practice rooms in well heeled conservatories seem to stick with Steinway grands and Yamaha uprights. The Yamahas sound good but don't come close to a good sounding Steinway. However, they will sound better than a cheap grand.
