I'm sure they've considered public discourse and chose not to. To them, it'd be like wrestling with pigs..everybody gets dirty but the pigs love it.
There is no advantage for them. I could see them ending up in public arguments with jerks and idiots as well as, um, shall we say, seasoned technical individuals..(I've heard there are some of those out there).
Look at w-man on another forum, thinks DC current doesn't produce a magnetic field, faraday's law of induction is garbage and a scam, yet constantly pretends to understand surge supressors. Unfortunately, many actually believe him..
Shunyata has better things to do than get stuck in an endless loop arguing with engineering wannabe's..
