I just sold my Linto for 850, I think they average closer to 900 or so. It is an extremely good phono stage, 54 or 64 db gain, very low noise. Linn built it as their 25th anniversary celbration of the LP12 turntable. It will work well with modest cartridges, through to the high end ones. I've talked to people who were very impressed using it with Grados, Linns own cartridges, Koetsu up to the Onyx Platinum, and others. So at a fair price, you get a great phono pre.

I think that with valves in your pre, and your amp, you'll be happy with a SS pre. Remember, with SS, you can leave it on all the time, and it's always warmed up and operating at it's best. And it's one less peice to worry about tube rolling, which can get spendy these days.

They are hard to come by though. Good luck

Tom
