I owned the CAV50 two decades ago and loved it. A decade later i bought the CA200 and thought that piece was an excellent non-tube unit that still managed to create most if the 'magic' of the CJ sound - touch of warmth, good detail retrieval, a nice midrange etc.
Six months ago I picked up a CT-5 preamp and that was a wonderful piece of kit. We hear about modern tube amps being voiced to sound like Solid State, but the CT-5 sounded glorious.
I also has the Evo2000 for a while and that was a great amp too, but more in the modern style without the tubeyness of much of their gear.
As for the reliability, I've never had a glitch from any of their gear. If a unit were to need repair i would send it to Bill Thalman who's an ex CJ tech and has a repair shop in northern VA. He does good work, including refurbs and upgrades.

I'd like to own a 16LS 2 before I die, but they rarely show up.
