Yes, these will need updating.
If I was going to spend the money, I would buy a 5800 or a 5802 which both sound much better than your earlier model suggestions.
I owned a 5802 that I really liked. It self-destructed and took out a few output transistors. The "new" Adcom is not the "old" Adcom. No parts available as apparently the old company sold off all their inventory before they went out of business. They also needed to be matched I think. That was the end of that amplifier.
