If anyone mentioned this, I missed it. The 7BST is three iterations behind Bryston's latest

7BST, 7BSST, 7BSST2, 7B3

I have heard most of the iterations (in 14B-- or 4B-- sizes), and to my ears, each iteration adds a lot of smoothness and naturalness. So if you basically like the Brystons, you might consider auditioning the 7B3. One more option, anyway.

Accuphase was mentioned, but in the US their price is apparently about twice that in Asia.

As to room correction, you could try an Anthem STR Preamp. I just bought one after a prolonged audition. Not only is its room correction is better than several other methods I've tried, I think it's an excellent preamp for those who don't mind paying a lower price.
