I have a Yamaha DSP-A1092 HT receiver, but there are something wrong with the left channel output. When I play it loud, a distortion appears on the left speaker.

My local HI-Fi shop recommended the Onkyo TX-SP605 to go with my Jamo (that I also bought from them a while back). I then bought the HT amp, but, I am sadly thinking that I made a mistake, as I think that the Yamaha sounded better with my Jamo's.

Can anyone give their opinion on the two amps, and whether it will be worth it to try and repair the Yamaha (I stay in SA, where repairing an amp can be risky ...).
