I don't think so, either. It's hard to imagine that running the motor at 84 volts instead of 120 something is going to produce the sonic effects that I experienced.To the extent that the motor runs more smoothly with the lower voltage (more gentle torque pulses as each pole is passed), it's hard to imagine that what difference there is in smoothness isn't absorbed by the rubber drive belt, which must be a tiny bit elastic.
