What you have just heard demonstrated is exactly what Sam Tellig said recently-- words to the effect that much of what passes for speaker 'progress' probably isn't.
A good two-way with a paper cone woofer in a 'boxy' box will smoke most modern Star-trek wannabe speakers out there with their ceramic crap and diamond dust tweeters and all that.
If you dont believe me-- ask the guy who heard these Audio Notes.
Or you can inquire about same at Spendor, Harbeth, ATC and other places who, thankfully, dont buy into so-called 'progress' for its own sake. They just listen.
