35 years ago, my college friend Tuyet liked to walk behind you. She kept hitting you.

Tuyet's roommate had a f-- buddy. So, quite often, Tuyet got sexiled. She'd simply stay in my room.

We liked the progressive death metal album, Soulside Journey , by Darkthrone. It ended with "Eon." While slapping my behind, Tuyet remarked that "Eon" "had a sense of impending doom," and "was a great way to end an album."

But then we had to eat dinner in my dining hall. It was the old school all-you-can-eat buffet style. We were getting seconds, and Tuyet kept poking my tummy, and saying, "You too fat!"

I put my tray down, and had had enough of Tuyet. As she was rapidly poking my tummy, I grabbed her wrist. She turned pale, and thought that she was going to get snapped in half. From that point on, she stopped physically mistreating me. Although Darkthrone's "Eon" stands on it own, to me, it represented the second inflection (the first was early January 1991, when Tuyet made a pinky promise, to help me stop stuttering, and for me to help her stop cussing and swearing) in our relationship.
