Also, not everyone is into owning every performance of every work they listen to, or listening to lots of minor works. I have 388 GB of files on my music server (just checked), and that isn't even all the recordings I've owned over the years -- but even so, much of the recorded music that I've heard and enjoyed over the years I don't own, e.g., it's stuff I heard on the radio -- a minor baroque piece, say, that's a pleasure to listen to once or twice but that I'm not going to keep coming back to, or a ubiquitous pop song that I enjoy but feel no need to own.
