The two statements are totally different.

But, I agree that when you say that it's possible to be an audiophile and not love music, - (especially if they rarely listen to music), - by refusing to listen to anything but something that they think sounds good.

I also have known musicians who only listen for content, and who would (likely) enjoy music a lot more if they heard it on a system that sounded great.

I am always very slow to judge whether or not someone is a MUSIC LOVER for that carries with it a lot of judgments and assumptions: it's important to be careful, - IMO.
