So the music lover s really has no high end stereo, no fancy audio equipment of ANY kind. (The exception is where a parent or loved one gave the person a system, because they like music)
I am an audiophile because I can name every bit of kit I ever owned. Plenty of stuff too.
My friend whom I helped assemble a Goodwill system for, likes music. The stuff is just stuff she uses to play music. (in fact I know the brands and models she has better than her.. am pretty certain she could say she has a Marantz, but not the model 2270..)

So my definition is a comparo for 'insider' vs 'outsider'.
We ALL are audiophiles in that sense.
Then there is the issue of are we listening to the equipment? or just to the music? or both?
I would say NO ONE here is 'just' listening to the music. If you did, then even a small device would suffice.
So we all here, have some internal investment in hearing music via a 'goood sounding system'
