isn't possible, for the following simple reason: equipment group "A"
used to play a musical piece will produce a different sound than equipment
group "B", which will be different from equipment group "C", etc. ad
nauseam. And what's even worse, there's no objective standard by which
you can declare that one equipment group is superior to another in the
recreation of real sound. The only standard you can use is your own
ears/brain.

But so what. The objective of audiophilia is to build a system that
pleases you. Not anyone else, just you. Aside from that, the only
other possible objective of building a sound system is to enrich the
manufacturers of the components thereof.
