My take:Music Lover: Someone who loves music. Even mp3's as long as they like the song.
Audiophile: A music lover who strives for accurate "you are there" sound reproduction. Usually electronic gear focused. And audiophile the kind of person who will attend a live event of his or her favorite music and be disappointed at the less-than-perfect acoustics of the performance venue - but be perfectly happy with the clinks of glasses around him or her as more "authentic." :-D
I say this as someone who picked up a simple Sonos system (through main rig and one in bedroom), and finding more music is being listened to through the various music services (192-320kbps! eek!) than the previous year!
