Great review. Your observations are completely consistent with mine. I have had the Reference IT for around a year now and it is simply the most neutral amp I have ever heard. When you first put the Lavardin in your system its almost feels like you've removed a veil that was covering your speakers.

I found your comments on bi-wiring to be quite interesting. For the first few months, I had bi-wired the IT with Synergystic Research cables. Then, just for fun I tried them with single wiring -- immediately, transparency, soundstaging and impaging improved dramatically. However, what was gone was the "punch" and "authority" on each note of Hotel California (live version from the Hell Freezes Over XRCD).

Just wo weeks ago, I replaced the SR cables with Analysis Plus Oval 9 cables (single-wired) which seems to give my system all the benefits of single-wiring the IT and the authority the sound seemed to lack with the SR cables.
