Your observation is right-on. RAM uses exotic components, that you would normally not find in a commercial product. I am curious about the Empirical Audio mod, and I have corresponed with EarlMarc on AudioCircle, who is expecting an Empiracal Audio unit in the next few days. I will be looking forward to his comments, and of course hope that his results are as good as mine.
