- didn't you write that this amp failed, MISERABLY to reproduce accurate sound with another speakers (DALI) ?????????????????????

and yet you did not noticed product weakness!

You deserve your amp, and I am sure, and its gorgeous looking and sales people are great (oh yes, sir!) but you shouldn't write..."review" "

I didn't say that the DALI failed miserably, did I?? I think those are your words.

Anyway, taking your comments to heart I went back to listen to the DALIs again, with a fifth amp, the Conrad Johnson CA200. This an Class AB, zero feedback amp with around 300 watt per channel into the DALI's load.

With the speakers in the same place as before, I played the same cuts as before and the same problem was still there. The DALIs bass response seems to cut off suddenly somewhere below around 40 hz, there's signal, but it loses its character and overtones on the DALIs, sounding more like a sine wave. There's volume, but it seems focused in a narrow frequency range, as if it's a resonance.

We considered the room, but when we set the Vienna Acoustic Beethoven Baby Grands right inside the DALIs there was no problem.

I've run out of amplifiers to try with the DALIs. So far we tried with two Class AB and three Class D amps.

Once again, I'll have to say that a problem with a speaker doesn't translate into a weakness for the amp that happens to be used at the time. These speakers had the same issue with five speakers, so the problem is the speaker.
