Re: V.35 amps

Posted by George on October 4, 2000 at 17:07:54:

Hi

I live in India, and got a kit V.35 amp across in bits and pieces. Anyway after it all came in, I got it assembled, and it is now working for the past 2-3 months, and am enjoying it. I seem to have a hum that comes out of the speakers audible at a distance of about 2 ft. Otherwise, it sounds very good(this is my first exposure to a valve amp). It is coupled to a solid state preamp from Audio by Van Alstine(also brought to India as a kit), and an Onkyo CD changer.

Could anyone advise me how to trouble shoot to try and eliminate the hum?

Thanks
