Well, I think he should try the Oris horns or Edgar horns before going down the long road of multi amping.

I tried biamping the Edgar horns and got good results... then I took Bruce Edgars advice he gave me a while back and buit a simple passive crossover that works with the horn rolloff. It is much better sounding IMHO and costs lots less.

I still use electronic crossovers but just with the bass and direct radiators. They seem to work best with direct radiators woofers/ ribbons/ electrostats. Not horns.
