DL-S1 low output signal ?

Posted by AbeCollins on June 16, 2010 at 10:22:05:

Hi John - The DL-S1 appears to have very low output per the specs I found on needledoctor dot com

# Output: 0.15mV
# Output Impedance: 40ohms
# Stylus: special elliptical tip
# Coil: copper (6N) and solid gold
# Frequency range: 20Hz-70kHz
# Tracking force: 1.1-1.5g
# Compliance 14x10-6cm/dyne
# Weight: 7.0g

Have you noticed this cartridge needing more phonostage gain or having to turn up the volume more on your linestage vs some of your other cartridges? How has this affected the background noise level or hiss, if any? Thanks!
