but I've managed to damage my tonearm cable last night during setup. A friend is lending me a cable on Sunday; so I will be sure to post impressions of what Mark Kellys controller *sounds like* on this forum once there's been a few hours of listening
So far the platter has spun for 12 hours continuously and I just checked the speed with a KAB speed strobe and there had been just a tiny amount of drift over that time; likely the controller settling in and/or the oil in the Empire bearing well warming up
A tweak of the speed control on the front panel and its now rock steady on 33 1/3rd
The controller iself is slightly warm to the touch but is clearly doing its thing
