Harman-Kardon T60 turntable mat

Posted by emakay on February 23, 2005 at 20:22:13:

Hi Hans,

I have two of these turntables, and the mats are stiff as a board on both. I bought the first one in 1984 or so, and I recall the mat being rather stiff, but I think that it has indeed hardened over the years.

It has been on my to-do list to find a replacement - let me know what you find out...

BTW, can you hear the motor running when you move the tonearm into the cueing position? If I put my head about 18-24 inches away from the platter I can.

I could swear that I did not used to be able to hear it...

Perhaps my hearing is getting more actute! (NOT!)
