Interesting review. I would have thought that the mouse pad would have done a better job of damping the motor vibrations than the metal. Maybe i'm not visualizing what you did correctly. I think that you created a little table for the motor--a flat piece of metal with downturned sides on two ends. I would think that this would couple the motor to the gingko base. Could you explain this a little more, or maybe post a picture? I would like to try this out on my gingko.
