Anyone seen this before? Luxman/Rega hybrid

Came across this while cruising Oz ebay - no connection to the seller and no interest in bidding but it caught my attention. For real or DIY job?
I don't remember ever seeing a Luxman with a glass platter and the hub that the platter sits on sure looks like a Rega. Did the two companies collaborate at some time? The result looks quite nice.
