Yes & no...

I try to buy all my newly released music on vinyl, and I do hesitate at times if the price is high, but I generally do not compare it to the CD price. If it's available on vinyl I buy it on vinyl. The CDs I buy are generally those of music that is not available on vinyl. Unfortunately, the (sometimes) high price of vinyl , may curtail my new music purchases, but then again I barely have the time to listen to what I do buy, so that is probably a good thing.

The other point made about bonus tracks is something to consider as well. I bought the new Songs:Ohia album on the Secretly Canadian label, and was very pleasantly surprised when a bonus CD of demo takes of many of the songs on the album, as well as 4 or 5 songs not included on the vinyl or CD, fell out of the jacket. CD buyers did not receive this bonus CD.
